The home will need to be vacant during the treatment process, so plan a place for you and your pets to be during the services. You will receive a message a few days prior to your service that will confirm your appointment and give basic instructions on how to prepare your home. They are simple things like open all closets, close all windows, etc.

Statement & FAQ regarding conflict of interest
"What is Vapor Fog Treatment?"
The Sterile Science Dry Fog system provides a high technology solution to disinfect pharmaceutical suites, cleanrooms, healthcare facilities, critical production and laboratory areas.
Facility, safety and infection control managers trust Sterile Science to rapidly and effectively provide a six log kill (99.9999%) of microbial, bacterial and fungal contamination.
The dry fog application excels at decontaminating large complex areas in a fraction of the time it would take to manually clean. It only takes 1-2 highly trained operators to fog, whereas a large manual cleaning crew increases contamination risk.
This technology is much faster than other types of decontamination and re-entry is usually the same day.

“I have alot of plants and wall art/paintings do I need to remove them before the treatment?
Purified Environments has never had an issue with wall art or paintings, but many people feel more comfortable removing expensive paintings and other artwork. Our process is non-harmful to plants.
"What about fruit or other foods left out in the kitchen?"
While Sporeklenz is approved by the manufacturer for use on food surfaces, its labeling instructs removing food products and packaging materials from the treated space or covering them completely. So put your fruits and other exposed foods in the fridge or an air-tight container ahead of your service!
With respect to using your surfaces after your treatment, the MCS label specifies that it does not require rinsing, and it leaves virtually no residue.
"How long before I can re-enter my home?"
Typically, 2 hours post treatment as a rule of thumb. However, we employ a gas sensing direct measurement device for PAA vapor and hydrogen peroxide vapor to confirm ppm for both are within required limits before re-entry.
“I have a child and pets in the home, is your process safe?”
We take all necessary safety precautions during the application to ensure that it is safe for you to re-enter post-treatment, leaving you with a healthy environment so you can get back to enjoying your home without worry. Further, Sporeklenz is food surface safe, does not require rinsing post application, and leaves virtually no residue. It is an EPA registered product. The chemical compound PAA (peracetic acid) is on the EPA’s Safer Choice List. Peracetic acid breaks down to water, oxygen and acetic acid (vinegar)
"Do I need to get everything out of the house?"
There is no need to clear your house ahead of treatment! The process disperses Sporeklenz as a dry vapor that won’t have adverse effects on most materials. During the EverPURE Process™, we only apply ©Goldsheild 5 on compatible surfaces.
"Will I need to clean everything after the treatment?"
Not at all. Our process leaves no residue!
"How will I know if it worked?"
Your technician will take an air sample upon completing the treatment and send it to an independent third party lab. We use an accredited mold lab that has no affiliation with any mold testing or mold remediation companies. About 4-5 days after the treatment, you will get the results via email.
"How long does the protection last?"
After your space has been disinfected in step one of our world-class process, we apply Goldshield 5© to protect your surfaces from mold and other pathogens for up to 90 days.
Then, in the final step of our three-step process, we install one of EMT’s MAK-model air purifying devices. These devices actively reduce microbes in the air and on surfaces around-the-clock. With proper maintenance, you can enjoy high-level air purity and surface sanitization 24/7, 365 days a year.
"Does the home require pre-cleaning before vapor or MAK decontamination?"
Yes. The manufacturer’s label requires pre-cleaning, and it is an essential part of the decontamination process. Fine-particle cleaning is performed first to physically remove contaminated dust, settled particulate, surface residue, biofilms, and other contaminants that may interfere with treatment.
Once this material has been removed, the vapor or MAK decontamination process can more effectively treat remaining microbial contamination on surfaces and in the air. Combining detailed cleaning with decontamination provides a more complete reduction of the environmental load and helps limit the re-aerosolization of contaminated particulate back into the breathing zone.
"Will the problem come back?"
Environmental problems can return if moisture, dust, or other contributing conditions are not properly controlled. Preventive maintenance is essential in every indoor environment, particularly following decontamination or remediation.
Regular detailed cleaning, effective air filtration and purification, prompt repair of leaks, and ongoing moisture control are all important for protecting the improved environmental baseline. Indoor relative humidity should be monitored and maintained below 60%, ideally between 30% and 50% when practical.
Future conditions cannot be guaranteed because new leaks, elevated humidity, inadequate cleaning, HVAC concerns, and other changes can affect the indoor environment. Please review our Preventive Maintenance Recommendations for steps you can take to reduce the likelihood of future problems.
"What is Fine Particle Cleaning?"
Fine particle cleaning is not routine housekeeping. It is a detailed, focused cleaning process using cleanroom-style techniques to remove contaminated dust, fine particulate, organic residue, and biofilms from ceilings, walls, floors, furnishings, and other contents throughout the environment.
Settled contamination does not necessarily remain on surfaces. Normal activity, air movement, and cleaning can re-aerosolize particles and return them to the breathing zone. Fine particle cleaning is therefore a critical step in reducing the overall environmental load before air and surface decontamination.
We monitor cleaning effectiveness with ATP surface testing, which measures remaining biological and organic residue and helps verify that the intended level of cleaning has been achieved.
"Are there alternatives to vapor decontamination after fine particle cleaning?"
Yes. In some circumstances, we may recommend MAK decontamination technology instead of vapor decontamination. MAK is a highly effective alternative that generally operates continuously for approximately three days.
The space may remain occupied during the process; however, the equipment must run 24 hours a day and can be noisy and uncomfortable for occupants. We determine which decontamination method is most appropriate based on the environmental conditions, treatment objectives, property, and occupants’ needs.
