Why Our Certifications Matter

Mold and other indoor bioaerosol contamination pose significant health risks. Therefore, we adhere to the highest certification standards and follow strict guidelines and protocols. While California does not have state regulations governing mold inspection, assessment, or remediation, we pride ourselves on exceeding these requirements to provide our clients with the highest quality service and outcomes.

NORMI- National Organization of Remediators and Microbial Inspectors

NORMI is the only national certifying body in the United States that is accepted by all states that have licensing requirements for mold assessment and remediation.

NORMI™, the National Organization of Remediators and Microbial Inspectors, is one of the fastest growing certifying agencies in the country and has been involved in providing high quality training for mold and indoor environmental professionals since 2004. Having trained thousands of construction professionals through the United States, Canada, Europe and South America, NORMI™ provides over 32 certifications to meet licensing laws now established in the states of Texas, Louisiana, Florida, New York, Washington, DC and Portland, OR.

Many states are considering regulations regarding mold professionals licensing and NORMI™ is in the forefront of that legislation to help protect the public and the trade without jeopardizing business growth. Sound, reasonable regulations become a solid foundation on which well-trained professionals can operate their businesses with success and credibility. NORMI™ offers legislation to states who are currently considering establishing a mold licensing law.

NORMI™ is a cooperative group of Certified Mold and Construction Professionals who have successfully completed training and the certification process in their specific area of expertise. The NORMI™ Code of Ethics evidences the NORMI™ Board of Directors interest in establishing a clear mission and set of values to which the professionals ascribe. The NORMI™ Mission Statement clearly identifies the goals of the membership. Those wishing to join may evaluate the requirements of membership by viewing “How to Become a Member“.

As an approved training provider for the EPA and multiple states, NORMI™ continues to add to its long lists of accomplishments adding more credibility to its membership.

California does not have state regulations about mold inspection, assessment, or remediation, and many local companies have little to no certifications or training.

We meet the highest certification standards in the industry and follow the strictest of guidelines and protocols.

Our technicians are NORMI-certified assessors and remediators, and our owner, Skip Jankoski, has the highest NORMI certifications available, including NORMI Pro making us experts in the field. Learn more about Skip Jankoski’s NORMI certification here

NORMIPro™ is the master professional who assesses indoor environments for indoor air quality contaminants, including mold and other microbials, to determine the causes and conditions that proliferate these contaminants in indoor environments, write protocols for sanitization or remediation, and trained to handle both traditional and non-traditional projects like those especially designed to accommodate environmentally sensitized individuals for whom traditional assessment, sanitization and remediation techniques may not satisfy.

  • Oversight: The DPR oversees the County Agricultural Commissioners, who enforce pesticide laws locally.
  • Registration: The DPR evaluates and registers pesticide products.
  • Licensing: The DPR licenses commercial applicators, dealers, consultants, and other pesticide professionals.
  • Health impacts: The DPR evaluates the health impacts of pesticides through illness surveillance and risk assessment.
  • Environmental monitoring: The DPR monitors the environment for air, water, and soil quality.
  • Residue testing: The DPR tests fresh produce for pesticide residue.
  • Pest management: The DPR encourages the development and adoption of less toxic pest management practices.
